Frequently Asked Questions
Do you request payment from writers to publish their books?
No. As a traditional book publisher, Sarro House Publishing publishes a book at absolutely NO upfront cost to the author. Instead, we offer a profit-sharing model of publishing in which we receive a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of the book.
Do I need a literary agent to submit my book proposal or manuscript?
No. We accept book proposals with or without an agent.
Do you publish children's books?
Yes, we publish books for readers of all ages.
Do you publish books that have previously been self-published?
We thoroughly review each book proposal to determine whether it fits within our niche and meets our publishing requirements. As long as an author has retained all rights to the book, we will consider it for publication.
What are you looking for in a memoir?
We are looking for something that has been increasingly more difficult to find in the marketplace – a memoir written with the reader in mind. We prefer manuscripts that blend creative and prescriptive nonfiction (more of a cross between memoir and self-help). For us, a memoir should offer a thorough, balanced view of oneself, others, and the world.
